Susan Rattner, M.D.
Dr. Rattner is Professor of Medicine with a secondary appointment as Professor of Family and Community Medicine. She has served in medical college administrative leadership roles for over 25 years, first in Student Affairs at Hahnemann University and for the past 20 years in Academic Affairs at Jefferson. From 2009-2013, she served as Vice Dean for Academic Affairs /UME with primary responsibility for curriculum planning, development and evaluation, for accreditation and for UME-related mission-based budget allocation. She continues to provide patient care with the Division of Internal Medicine; this practice earned Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home designation in 2011.
Dr. Rattner is actively involved with the Center for Research in Medical Education in support activities for students and faculty. She has been a principal investigator and collaborator in several externally-funded medical education projects and has a special interest in professionalism and interprofessional education.
