Zahra Ladhani, R.N., Ph.D.
Health & Nutrition and Nursing Education
Congratulations to Henal Shah (GSMC 2006, PHIL 2008) and Zahra Ladhani (PHIL 2007), who recently coauthored an article on teaching/learning (T/L) methods with FAIMER Institute Founding Co-Director Page Morahan, Ph.D., and FAIMER Institute Associate Director Ray Wells, Ph.D. The article, titled “Global Leadership Model for Health Professions Education Part 2: Teaching/Learning Methods,” appeared in the April 2019 issue of the Journal of Leadership Education.
This article offers an analytical approach to identifying T/L methods used in leadership education. Applying this approach to the T/L methods used during the FAIMER Institute, the authors highlight nine methods that teachers most often used and learners viewed as most impactful. Their results describe a practice that leadership educators can use to analyze T/L methods in their leadership curricula, identify how often each is used, and determine whether learners and faculty have the same perceptions regarding which methods are most effective.
