Duration and levels of accreditation

3 years or 5 years. If criteria are partially fulfilled, then conditional accreditation is issued (1 year accreditation), with reaccreditation to be processed the next year.

Description of accreditation organization

KAA was founded by the Ministry of Education Science and Technology (MEST) of Kosovo in accordance with the Law on Higher Education in Kosovo. As an agency, KAA practices independent, professional, non-profit activity that, at the Institution of Higher Education (IHE) in Kosovo, guarantees the quality of educational and scientific research work. KAA is a public agency for the evaluation of quality at public and private institutions of higher education. According to law, KAA is independent in making decisions and is under the supervision of MEST.
